In this post, we will talk about the subtleties of diamonds, which will help you choose and understand the subtleties of diamonds.
Diamonds and the 4C rule
The value and beauty of diamonds are usually assessed using the “4 Cs” rule (Cut, Clarity, Color, Carat). These are the diamond’s cut, clarity, color, and weight. These four characteristics describe the characteristics of a diamond and indicate its quality.
Diamond weight
All diamonds are measured in carats, and carats do not indicate the weight of the diamond, but its mass. A professionally cut diamond, even a small one, can look much larger than a poorly cut diamond, even one with a higher carat weight. A properly cut diamond transmits more light, which can give the illusion that it is larger. For this reason, when choosing a diamond, it is worth paying more attention to the cut, color, and clarity of the carat.
Diamond shapes
The most common diamonds come in the following shapes:

Diamond color
The color of a diamond varies from completely white to yellow, and occasionally it can appear brown. It is often difficult for a non-specialist in this field to determine the color type of a diamond, so it is advisable to consult a specialist - a gemologist - when choosing diamonds.

Diamond clarity
A diamond is a unique stone, each diamond has its own advantages and disadvantages that affect the price of a diamond, one of such indicators is the clarity of the diamond, otherwise known as inclusions or inclusions. The more inclusions a diamond has, the lower its value will be.
Diamond certificates
A diamond certificate is an official document that provides a detailed description of a specific diamond. A diamond dossier or diamond grading report contains all the verified information about the unique characteristics of a diamond: cut, carat weight, color, with some additional notes on the diamond's symmetry, brilliance and fluorescence. Having a diamond certificate is the best way to prove the identity and value of your unique gemstone.
